GARDEN PARTY.
Favoured by glorious sunshinfc, a most successful garden party, in aid of the church funds, was held last Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kutledge, "Sumiyhurst," Birkdalc. Some amusing competitions were enjoyed, and afternoon tea was served. Mrs.'Rutledge received her <niests assisted by Miss Griffin. Those present included: Mrs. Slitherland, Mrs. CI. ilills. Mrs. Sainty, Mrs. Cliiistensoii, Mrs. Inkstcr, Mrs. Fleming, Mrs. McNab. Mrs. Cox, Mrs.- Jeffery, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Gussey, Mrs. Bland. Mrs. Peake, Mrs. Spraggon, Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Meek, Mrs. Nicholson, Mrs. Walker. Mrs. Kingston, Mrs. Kay, Mrs. Wood,- Mrs. Cassy, Mrs. Bartlett, Mrs. Rainford, Mrs. Potter. Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Adkins, Mrs. W. Wood, Mrs. Dyson, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Woollcy, Mrs. McNerie. M'rs. Campbell, Mrs. Dingley, Miss Fleming. Geddes, Miss Morris. Miss Ward, Miss Heather, Miss Wood, Miss Bovnton, Miss L.
