OPENING DANCE.
There was a large attendance at the dance to mark the reopening of the Taneatua Hall after extensive alterations and additions. About 200 couples from all parts of the district were present, making the function a most successful one. The supper arrangements were capably carried out by Mesdamcti G. Merrie. E" Hill, N. Semnie'ns. J. Thorn and Miss Peebles. Mr. C. McCready acted ns master of ceremonies, while the music was provided by the Opotiki Semla Orchestra. During an interval Mr. Walter Reid (chairman of the County Council) declared the hall open.
