TO MODERNISE HOUSES.
ADVANCES BY GOVERNMENT.

GREYMOUTH, Thursday.
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary in charge of Housing, Mr. J. A. Lee. is visiting the West Coast. He complained that sections in Grevmouth are dear, and the Government is unable to put people in houses overloaded with costs.
Mr. Lee said the Government intended next session to legislate enabling State advances for the modernising of houses.
