MINES AGAIN IDLE.
DIFFERENCE AMONG MEN.
ABSENTEES FROM MEETING
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
HUNTLY, this dav
The Glen Afton and! Mac Donald mines are idle again to-day. It is understood that as some of the men did not attend the stop-work meeting, which was held yesterday, to discuss remits in connection with a new agreement to be dealt with at a conference between the mine owners and the representatives of the miners at Wellington this month, some of the men from the Mac Donald mine who did attend yesterday's meetincr, insisted that the absentees should he stopped from going into the mine. The absentees refused to be laid aside in idleness, and as a protest the rest of the men refused to work.
