Hud intended to operate as a Special Order, will conic up for i ontirniatlon at a Special Meeting of the Auckland City Council to be held on WEDNESDAY, February 10. 31)37, at 12 noon, viz. : —

1. That the Auckland City Council in pursuance and exercise ol' the powers vestiJ in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act. 10-l>, I lie Local Government Loans Board Act. l!)2t>, Section 22 of th 3 I,ocal Legislation Act. 1 !)■'.(>. and of all other and authorities thereunto enabling it, dt*ii hereby resolve to raise by way of Special Order the sum of £23.000 authorised for the purpose of carrying out repairs (including the reconstruction or improvement of such portions thereof as may be necessary) to the Gra'fton Bridge within the City of Auckl-ind and for providing the cost of investigations and reports preliminary to and in connection with the said wor!*.

2. That the said loan of £25,000 be repayable by forty (40) half-yearly instalments of Fight Hundred and Seventy-four Pounds Six Shillings and One Penny (£874 6/1) each comprising Principal and Interest at Three Pounds Ten Shillings (ty 10/) per centum per annum.

3. That the said sum of £23.000 be raised by the issue of forty (40) Debentures of Eight Hundred and Seventy-four Pounds Six Shillings and One Penny (£874 6/1) each one of such Debentures to be payable every first day of August and first day of February, the first being payable on the first day of August, 1937, and the last on the first day of February, 1057.

4. That the said Debentures of £874 6/1 shall be payable at the office in Auckland, New Zealand, of the Bank of New Zealand.

5. That the Common Seal be affixed to the said forty (40) Debentures of £874 6/1 each to be issued in respect of the said loan in the form submitted by the Acting Town Clerk at this meeting or to like effect and the Mayor and the City Treasurer be arid they are hereby authorised to sign and countersign respectively such debentures.

6. That the Council doth hereoy appropriate and pledge as security for the payment of the said loan of £25.000 and interest, sinking fund and other charges thereon a Special Rate of One-fifth of a Penny (l-sth) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all ratenble property within tee boundaries of the City of Auckland. 7. That copies of this Resolution and of >11 other resolutions, orders and documents .relating to this lonn. verified by the Mayor and .Acting Town Clerk as correct extract's from* the Minutes of Proceedings of the Council may, from time to time.
