SPEEDING CAR.
MENACE ON THE HIGHWAY. DRIVER AND SON INJURED. y (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Shortly after 10 o'clock last night Mr. J. S. Stalker, plumber, of Lower Hutt, while returning to Wellington with his., iivc.-year-old son, in a baby car, iwas forced oil' the road near the Takapu bridge, Tawa Flat, by a motor car overtaking him round , a corner at a high speed. * \ Another car gave chase but the driver was unable to £ overtake the offender; Mr. Stalker escaped with a severe bruising. His son received a deep cut. on one wrist. Mr. Stalker went home leaving his car upside down agaiust a fence.
