WEDDING.

AICKIN—PEARCE.

A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, last evening, when Edna May, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Pearce, of Ridings Road, Remuera, was married to Roger Casement, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Aickin, Herbert Road, Mount Eden. The Rev. P. Houghton officiated and the church was beautifully decorated with hydrangeas in blue shades. The bride, who entered the church to the strain of wedding music, was given away by her father, Mr. R. Pearce. Her lovely gown of brocaded satin, with a lily design in tinsel thread, had a high draped neckline and a draped cowl sleeve fitting into a tight cuff. The fitting skirt, girdled with a silver tassel'.ed cord, fell from straight folds in the front to form a long, full train. A coronet of orange blossom and silver lame held in place the full tulle veil which was worn over the face when entering the church. Her bouquet of white roses fell in a streaming cascade down the front of her frock.

Mrs. Douglas Robinson, who attended as matron of honour was beautifully "owned in hydrangea blue taffeta. The tight-fitting bodice, with its high collar edged with tulle frills, was finished with a row of small buttons and silver loops. The full sleeves of elbow-length taffeta were a mass of tiny tulle frills. She wore a flower coronet of blue hydrangea and carried a flowered muff of tulle fiflls. Two little cousins Betty and Maureen Carter, nieces of the bride, who acted as flower girls, were dainty little replicas of the matron of honour. Mr. Douglas Robinson was the best man.

A reception was afterwards held at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, where MVs. R. Pearce, mother of the bride, received the guests. She wore a black lace frock with a large pink rose on the corsage. Her hat was of black straw, and she carried a bouquet of pink roc;es. Mrs. R. A. Aickin, mother of the bridegroom, wore a gown of Persian patterned flat black crepe and a large black hat. Her bouquet was in apricot tonings.
