LEAGUE CLUB DANCE.

PAPAKURA FUNCTION. The Papakura Rugby League Club 1 held a successful dance last evening in the Regent Theatre. There was an exceptionally large attendance, visitors being present from the city and all surrounding districts. Opportunity was taken to present the senior B team (winner of the Sharman Cup and Walmsley Colts' Shield) with their caps. The caps were presented by the manager, Mr. Les McVeagh, tlie recipients being: W. Cornthwaite (captain), B. Pope (vice-captain), R. Burgess, Dick Burgess, Athol Burgess, Arthur Slater, Roy Pyke, Ray Richardson, W. K. Francis, jun., Leon Taylor, Weston Taylor, Harold Hawley* Dennis Evans, Craig Smith, Jim Homewood, Frank Hely, W. Burrell. The captain, Mr. Gordon Wilson, in a few remarks, paid a tribute to the vice-captain's record, Mr. B.
