CLOSEST RELATIONS.
| BRITISH AND FRENCH ACCORD. British Official Wireless. (Received 2 p.m.) RUGBY, January 5. The French Foreign Minister, M. Delbos, has published in Paris the message from the British Foreign Secretary thanking him for the statement made I>y M/ Delbos on Saturday regarding the British and Italian declaration on the Mediterranean, and in which Mr. Eden said: "It is a matter of considerable satisfaction to know that the agreement was well received by the French Government with which the: British Government is in such very close relations. I am certain the agreement will contribute, as is ite-object, to the maintenance of peace in a part of the world where France is, in like manner, interested." ■
