HOLIDAY FUN.

PIPE-CLEANER ANIMALS. Among the many ideas which have commended themselves to hostesses and holidavmakers looking for some odd amusements for guests and friends during the intervals between bathing and golf is the entertaining one of making pipe-cleanel- animals. It would probably be difficult to find the person who first elaborated the idea, but it is one which recently entertained a large group of women during a few moments of relaxation at a meeting of an English townswomen's guild. It was certainly a success on that occasion, and hostesses find that pipe-cleaner animals arouse the competitive instincts of their guests to an unusual degree. The idea is to give each • person three pipe cleaners and tell them to manufacture an animal. This is best accomplished by holding two cleaners together and bending them to make ears, nose. neck, fore legs, body and back legs. The end of one pipe cleaner can be bent up to make the tail, while the other is bent round along the body and cut off. The third pipe cleaner can be used to give substance to the body by end between the other two cleaners at the nose and then twisting it round the nose, the neck and the body. Those who have not tried this form "of entertainment will be amazed at the great number of different animals that can be made by varying the length of neck, legs and tail.
