NEW YEAR DANCE.

P.T.C. SOCIAL CLUB. ' _ I The Passenger Transport Social Club's Xcw Year dance, held in the very fine hall attached to the company's garage at Otahuhu, was an outstanding success and much credit is due to the committee. Messrs. V. Brown (president), Les Meredith (vice-president). R. F. Carter (secretary). L. Woods. C. Warren, S. Ryan, F. Slinger, T. Pheasant and A. Brierly, for the splendid arrangements made for the enjoyment of the large number of guests. An outstanding feature was the effective scheme of decoration ,in which greenery, streamers and the company's colours, black and yellow, predominated. In addition to dancing, a programme of musical items was well receive, particularly those rendered hv the P.T.C. Merrymakers Band, which were enthusiastically encored. Monte Carlo prizes were won by Mr. Wells and Mrs. Woods, and Mr. Cutts and partner, and a spot waltz was won by Mr. J. Gilmore and Mrs. Cutts. The Social Club's special box of chocolates was won by Miss K. Thiel. Among those present were Mesdames Kirkham, sen.. X. Kirkham, H. Kirkham. R. Lawrence, C. Wells, L. Woods, C. Kay, Haire, R. F.
