NEW 8.8.0. OFFICIAL'S JOB. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, January 4. There has been a mystery regarding the undefined duties of Colonel R. S. Stafford, recently appointed to the administrative staff of the British Broadcasting Corporation. It is now disclosed that he is engaged in devising measures to be taken by the organisation in the event of war. An official statement says it is obvious that measures must be considered in connection with any unforeseen contingency in national affairs which may affect the vital service of broadcasting.
