THE SPEEDY AWATEA.
OWK RECORD REDUCED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The Union Steam Ship Company's liner Awatea reduced her own record for the trip from Sydney to Wellington by one hour seven minutes. She made her latest trip in 2 days 9 hours 15 minutes, her average speed being 21.62 knots.
