LARGE SHARK CAUGHT.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Fishing off Sail Rode yesterday, Mr. Fred Franich hooked a monster shovei nosed shark, which fought for a hour and a half. The fish was taken to Mangawai, and will be weighed as soon as weather conditions are favourable. The fish was 12ft long and 7ft in girth!
