The wicket was easy paced for the continuation of tiie Plunket Shield cricket match between Wellington and Canterbury to-day. Canterbury went for runs regardless of cost and raised its overnight score of 308 for two wickets to 430 for six wickets. Cromb then declared. Wellington lost two wickets cheaply and then went on to score 194 for three wickets. After a disastrous start ip its second innings, in which two wickets fell for 15 runs, Wellington now has an outside chance of confining Canterbury to a first innings' win. Continuing liia splendid innings of 192 not out, Haidlee added only two more rumj before he went leg-before to Parsloe. He made no attempt to play the ball, 321—3—194. Hadlee's total had been made in 255 minutes and included 21 fours and one eix v Kerr joined Bellamy, who continued to «core with. strokes just backward of point. Moloney's long and patient innings ended when he hit Cromb to Roberts at mid* off. Roberts fielded quickly and returned to Cromb, Moloney being run out. 187—3—8.
