The scheme in the singles championship provides for five rounds of post-section play to-day,' and this will reduce the C t one-lifers to two, who will continue as opportunity offers, together with the four or five survivors of the 13 who started this morning with two lives. The weather was humid, with occasional light misty rain and slow greene whsn post-sectional play commenced this morning. five greens being in use. Rain developed during the playinz of the second round, but the committee decided that the matches should continue. The greens became saturated, and most heads were full of short bowls.
