TRAMCARS COLLIDE.

QUEEN STREET ACCIDENT. CITY TRAFFIC DELAYED. A delay of some five minutes was occasioned in the tramway service when two cars collided near the junction of Queen and Wyndham Streets at 11 o'clock last night. Both cars were proceeding outwards from the city when the impact occurred, a Ponsonby. car crashing into a Mount Roskill car which stopped suddenly in front of it. Most of the passengers felt the jar of the collision, but no one was hurt. Two windows in the driving cab of the rear car were smashed and the top of the cab was badly crashed. The hamper bar of the car in front was bent and the ontside of the driving cab poshed inwards. He police took statements from the motormen and an inquiry will be held by the Transport Board.
