WAS WITH ANZACS.
NURSE ON THE NARKUNDA. WEARER ON MONS STAR. Sister E. Bray, who is ship's nurse on the P. and O. liner Narkunda, which arrived in Auckland this morning, will be known to many New Zealand returned soldiers, for she served in Egypt and with the hospital ship Navasa at Gallipoli between August and December, 1915. She spoke highly this morning of the New Zealanders as the finest body of men they had to deal with; and of a number of New Zealand nurses with whom she came in contact. Sister Bray had a distinguished war service, and anion™ her decorations is the Mobs Star, showing that she was serving in France-in the first terrible months of the war. She was with the No. 2 general unit at Le Havre, but later joined the hospital ship Asturias, which escaped being torpedoed on one occasion in the English Channel by a margin of 3ft. Four brothers and a sister of Nurse Bray were also at the front. She-has been on the Narkunda for seven years.
