SIB HABBY LAUDER AT SYDNEY (Received 0.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A Highland gathering at the Sydnev Show Ground wtis the main attraction on New Year's Day. The weather was bright and sunny until late in th» afternoon, when a thunderstorm swept the city. Rain continued to fall until late at night and spoilt the holiday. Sir Harry Lauder was a distinguished "jruest at the Highland gathering and finished a happy speech with a song which caused much enthusiasm among the crowd.
