STRUCK BY CAR.
TWO WOMEN INJURED
OXE FAIRLY SERIOUS
Two women, a mother and daughter, were injured 011 Thursday night about 0 j).111. at the corner of Richmond and Ponsonby Koads, when tliev were struck by a motor car. Mrs. Agnes M. Wvkes, of 37, Lincoln Street, was thrown clear' and suffered slight head injuries. She was taken to the hospital in a St. John ambulance and discharged after treatment. Miss Edna Wykes, aged 17, suffered severe concussion and head injuries. Her condition this morning was fairly serious. The driver of the car, Raymond Victor Lawless, was later arrested and '•'as charged this morning with being intoxicated while in charge of a car.
