CANADIAN COMPETITION

CORNWALL (Ontario), Nov. 10. Upwards of 100,000 persons attended in four days the international ploughing matches held here and saw the exhibits of farm machinery under 10 acres of tents. More than 000 ploughmen participated in the various classes and among the spectators interest was extremely high.

The major prize, a trophy donated by Mr. R. B. Bennett, formerly Prime Minister of Canada, was won by Alex. Black, of Ciuelph, Ontario, who was the winner at last year's matches. Mr. Black thus holds his place as international ploughing champion. His furrow was the straight-est and cleanest and his performance generally of high j merit. J
