SIDE TO MEET WELLINGTON. (Oy Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDIN, this day. The Otago Plunket Shield team to play Wellington, at the Basin Reserve at Christmas, will be picked to-night from: — Dunning (captain), Badcock, Silver, F. B_. Kerr, Grover, Uttley, McGregor, Knight, Elmes, Cliettleburgh, L. Smith, Mills and Robertson (an ex-Poverty Bay player).
The side will be particularly strong in bowling.
J. A. Dunning is an uncle of E. J. Dunning, the Rodney player who made four consecutive centuries in Northland, and 61 in his successful Plunket Shield trial at Eden Park yesterday- A message from Dunedin relative to the wicketkeeping appears on page 16 of this issue. Otago plays Auckland at Dunedin on December 31, January 1, 2 and 4.
