WOMAN'S FEAT.
HAMILTON AND BACK.
TRIP IN 9 HOURS 38 MINUTES.
To ride a bicycle from Auckland to Hamilton is a "big enough task for a woman, but Mrs. E. Harrison, of Long Drive, St. Helier's, on Saturday, went even better, as she not only "peddled her bike" to Hamilton, but, after an hour's rest, she rode home again, arriving at the Chief Post Office at 0.4 p.m. Mrs. Harrison, who is a member of the Auckland Cycle Club, left the C.P.0., Auckland, at 7.30 a.m. She had a puncture at Ngaruawaliia, but when this had been repaired she continued her ride, reaching Hamilton at 12.19 p.m. After having lunch Mrs. Harrison set out on the return trip and arrived back at 0.4 p.m. Peculiarly enough, the journey each way took 4 hours 49 minutes.
