- . I SERVICES REWARDED. (By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) "HOKITIKA, Sunday. Mr. James O'Brien: M.P". for West land, was entertained, with Mrs. O Brien, at a complimentary social and dance last evening. There was a large attendance present to-night at a public gathering held in the open air, and Mr. O'Brien was presented with a substantial purse in recognition of his valued services the district. Later he was- entertained at the banquet in the Town Hall, which was iiHeel with enthusiastic supporters.
