TRAMS COLLIDE.

MOTORMAN SUFFERS SHOCK. Two trams collided with solid impact at the intersection of Wellesley and Hobson Streets shortly after 5.30 on Saturday afternoon. The motorman of one of the cars, Mr. Lindsay Jack, of 9, Castle Street, Grey Lynn, was taken to the Auckland Hospital suffering from shock. One tram was travelling down Hobson Street towards the waterfront and the other was travelling up on its way to Richmond Road., The down tram was swinging from Hobson Street into Wellesley Street when the accident happened. Mr. Jack was caught between the control box and the main partition of the cabin. His condition is not serious.
