STRANGE COINCIDENCE.

A strange coincidence marked the death on August 8, 1827, of George Canning, Prime Minister and M.P. for Liverpool. He told Lady Holland that he was feeling unwell and intended going to Chiswick for a rest. "Don't go there," she pleaded. "Charles James Fox died there, and I've a feeling it is an unlucky place for statesmen." Canning smiled, and said: "Don't tell anyone else that." He went to Chiswick, and a few days later died in the room i where Fox died 21 years before.
