COMING OF AGE. „

A happy evening was spent in the Bon 'Ton Hall, Royal Oak, recently when Mr. and Mrs. Hodder, of Arthur Street, Onehunga, gave a birthday party and dance in honour of the coming of age of their daughter Margery. There were 150 present. The tables were decorated with golden lilies and mauve irises. The guests were received on arrival by Miss Margery and Mrs. Hodder, the latter wearing a frock of black lace and crepe de chine, and the former Marina blue crepe and silver lame. The guest of honour was presented with three bouquets by Mrs. Haymes, Norma Beaver and T. Partridge, and a key by Mr. Hodder. Mr. J. Eaymes ably filled the position as master of ceremonies. Mrs. Brown, aged 86, grandmother of the guest of honour, was present. Items were rendered by Miss Joan Hodder and Miss Gladis Voice, and also by Messrs. Raffety.
