FLYING ANGEL.

An entertainment organised by Mrs. Close was given at the Flying Angel Mission last week, when the hall was a train filled with seafarers, who showed their appreciation by demanding encores to all the items presented. The programme consisted of instrumental and vocal items, fancy dancing and comedy sketches. Mr. Rex Sayeis was chairman and the accompaniments were played by Miss Ivy Akersten. The following contributed* to the programme-Mrs. Peggy Close, Mrs. W. Taylor, Miss Doris Eddiss, Miss Mercia Sayers, Miss Patricia Curren, Miss Akersten and Mr. Rex Sayers. The Rev. 11. K. Vickery thanked the artists for the excellent entertainment, which all had appreciated. Light refreshments were served by members of the Ladies' Harbour Lights Guild.
