FORMER GOVERNOR.
LATE LORD ISLINGTON. MESSAGE OF SYMPATHY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following telegram has been received from Lady Islington in reply to a message of sympathy sent to her by the Governor-General, Lord Gal way, in' connection with the death of Lord Islington, a former Governor of New Zealand:— "Please convey to the people of New Zealand my sincere thanks for their message of sympathy. My lius'uand had a feeling of affectionate interest in them. I thank your Excellency and Lady Galway for the kind message ox sympathy."
