TOURIST CRUISE.
MAUNGANU! AT DUNEDIN. AUSTRALIANS IMPRESSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Union liner Maunganui, which is engifged in a tourist cruise around the South Island, arrived early this morning from Sydney with 127 passengers aboard. On Sunday the vessel visited Mil ford and other West Coast sounds. Although the weather was unpleasant the tourists were most impressed with the grandeur of the sounds, one declaring the excursion to be of inestimable value in advertising the scenic attractions of the Dominion. The Maunganui also called at Stewart Island. Prominent passengers include Mr. E. F. Thomas, a well-known New South Wales lawyer; Dr. A. Martell As.pinall, of Sydney; Professor A. H. Charters, professor of history at the Sydney University; and Mr. J. W. R. French, manager of the city branch of the Bank of New South Wales, Sydney.
