The other three, Cyrillian, Garonne and Monetary, a Paper Money—Egotism two-year-old that has not raced, will be taken over by Shaw, who now 1 has a big team under his care. Shaw lias arranged '■ to visit Auckland for the holidays with Dollar Bill and Greek Gold, having made another 6ta.rt on the latter at the end of last week after spelling him for a fortnight. Their prospects at Ellerslie mil depend on the weather, as they are a useful pair on a soft track. There are several novices in Shaw's team, and it is probable that one of them will do the Manawatu and Wairarapa meetings under the care of G. Ridgway, who should also have numerous opportunities for riding on the trip. Mr J. Porter's Martama—Star Lady two-year-old has been gekled, and the Martama —Rawene colt will be operated on a little later. These ■ two are spelling at 'present. ' ' , Shaw has taken in hand for Mr. (j. Gould the seven-year-old gelding Bright Red, by Shambles from Lummant, by Thumham. He did some racing earlier in his career, and he may be tried now as a jumper, a department for which many horses by Thurnham have 6hown a natural aptitude.
