UPWARD TREND RECORDED

BUILDIXG COXDITIONS IMPROVING

The annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects was held last night.

In the annual report satisfaction with improving conditions was expressed, and the hopes of the branch that conditions would improve this year had been realised with an upward trend in the building tiade. It was also stated in the report that the Auckland master builders had advised the committee that their members would not in future tender for work to the value of £5000 or over unless quantities were supplied. The scheme had not been in operation long enough for an opinion to be formed.
