CARD EVENING.
CHRISTMAS LEPER CHEER.
A successful bridge and 500 evening was held by Mrs. E. AVatters 011 Saturday liioM, in the Overseas Club rooms, in aid of funds for Christmas leper cheer. The guests were received by Mrs. Watters wearing a smart black irench frock. A short talk was given by Mr. \ D. L. Thomas on Makogai Island. The bridge prize was won by Miss Hunter and Mr. Thuell, the consolation prizes bein<r won by Mr. McClymont and Mr. Farmer. The 500 prizes were won by Mr. and Mrs. W. Davis, the consolation prizes going to Mrs. H. Capper and A r. McKay. The winner of the silver teapot was Mr. Moorhead, and fetitehbury. won the cake. Mrs. Watte s thanked all those present, _ especially the committee, which comprised: Mrs. Crew,' wearing black -velvet; Mrs. - Jardine, apricot velvet; Mrs. H. Capper, blue taffeta; Mrs. R Jordan, black chiffon velvet; Mrs. R. Hanson, pmk taffeta; Mrs. Marks, black lace; Miss L.
