NEW OFFICERS ELECTED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Monday. There was a good attendance nt the annual meeting of the Taumarunui Winter Show Society, the president, Mr. A. W. Richter, presiding. . . .. , rr , .The following officers were# elected: — Patron, Hon. F. Langstone; president, Mr. A. W. Richter (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. C. A. Boles, W. Meads, H. R. Street, S. A. Morris, W. J. Curtis and I. Jefferson; organiser, Mr. J. Kerruish; auditor, Mr. M. H. Wilks; treasurer, Mr. S. Christmas; secretary, Mr. F. Redfern. The secretary reported tlxat the total entries received at the last show numbered 14G6, compared with 1330 in 1935. The statement of accounts showed a total of £385, including 'members' subscriptions (£56), donations (£54), rents (£59), door tnkings (£135), and entrance fees (£37). The expenditure amounted to £310, leaving a credit balance of £73. The assets amount to £180.
