Kanapa Well Forward. (By Telegraxih.—Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this clay. The flags were out nearly 70ft at Te Rapa this morning for the final gallops of horses engaged ct the Waikato Hunt, and several useful efforts were recorded prior to the breakfast interval, when practically all the work was-executed. The weather was fine, and the going in good order. After the interval heavy showers fell, and the course *was in a greasy state. Susan, Race Call and itacette were practically together at tlie completion of half a mile in 555. Le Femme Noire was doing better than Poland over half a mile in 55%5. Lilbert and Stanstead were timed to come home from the five furlong peg in 1.15. Dark Shadow, who looks well, was not doing his best to compass a round in 2.15%. The Bronze Eagle filly and Tavern Song finished on terms over half a mile in 565. Gay Flier brushed over half a mile in similar time. Square Acre, who is how located in A. Winder's stable, sprinted down the straight and revelled in his task. Ivanapa finished a head in front of Full o' Scotch, with Sandfly three lengths away, at the completion of a round in 2.13. Kanapa is looking improved as the result of his recent racing. The best effort of the morning was a good six furlongs by Lion Heart, who beat Grand Score by two lengths and a half in 1.22, the first three in 41s. Respectful worked at a strong pace over a round. Race Whip came home over the last three furlongs of his work in 445. Adalene and Gloucester were associated over half a mile in 555. Both look in good heart. Silver Brier, King Rey and Tradesman were restricted to strong pace work over a round. It was stated by Mrs. Reilly this morning that present intentions were to start both King Rey and Tradesman in the Members' Memorial at Cambridge on Mondav. Mangukaha and Gay Streak were practically together over the concluding stages of five furlongs in .1.9, the last half-mile in 55 4-ss. Ford Acre ran a similar distance unaccompanied in 1.10, the last halfmile in '575. The Surveyor—Jolly Princess fill.v, in Se'fert's stable, was going better than English Night at the end of three furlongs in 41s. The Jumpers. I The only schooling trial of the morning was that of Kanapa (Smith), who handled : two hurdles along the back in good • style.
