RESCUED BY BRITAIN.
REFUGEES FROM SPAIN. British Official Wireless. (Received 2 p.m.) RUGBY, October 23. The number of refugees evacuated by the British Navy from the north,, and east coasts of Spain, up to October 17, was 6022. - Of these, 2357 were men, 2602 women, and 973 children. The total included the following British nationals:—73B men, 954 women and 287 children.
