CITY BY-ELECTION.
WELLINGTON NOMINATIONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Nominations of candidates to fill the vacancy on the Wellington City Council caused by the death of Mr. W. H. Bennett closed to-day. Three candidates were nominated, as follows:— Mr. Thomas Forsyth, Ratepayers' Association: Mr. John Read, Labour; Mr. B. A. Mabin, who is offering himself for election for the first time.
