SITTING FINISHED.
COMMITTEE ON ABORTION. MEMBERS LEAVE FOR SOUTH. After taking a full day's evidence yesterday, the members of the committee set up under the authority of the Minister of Health, the Hon. P. Eraser, to inquire into the abortion problem in New Zealand, left last night for Wellington. One member, Dr. T. L. Paget, of the Health Department, Wellington! remained in Auckland on Denartmeiital business. The sitting of the committee was held in camera; but the acting-chairman, Dr. T. F. Corkill/of Wellington, made a statement at mid-day yesterday, as reported in the "Star." After further evidence has been heard in the South a comprehensive report will be submitted to tile Minister.
