TWO TYPHOONS.

Most Tragic in History of Philippines. SECOND MAY HIT JAPAN. MANILA, October 12. Immediately following a terrific storm which was one of the most tragic in the history of the Philippine Islands, a second typhoon -is travelling north-north-eastward, 450 miles to the east of Northern Luzon. In the first visitation, 50 people were killed and 400 are missing, and all communications were cut. While awaiting a renewal of contacts, the authorities express the fear that heavy casualties were caused _at Aravat, San Simeon, C'andaba, San \Luis and Apakit, all in the Pomanga province. It is believed that the second storm will miss the Philippines und strike Southern Japan.
