CLUB SOCIAL. NORTH SHOIiE FOREGATHER. A most enjoyable social evening brought the North Slior- Club's season to a close on Saturday night. Tliere was a strong muster of players and supporters in the Navy League Flail, the Mayor of Devonport, Captain H. F. \V. Meikle, making a most popular chairman. Mr. W. .T. Lyon, M.l\. representative on the New Zealand Soccer Council of the Auckland Association, was present, as were Messrs. L. Munro, W. Morris, A. I'. Neesliam and J. C. Sibbin, of the Control Board. Mr. Lyon, in proposing the toast of the association, complimented the officials on their self-sacrificing work in the interests of the sport, and trusted their efforts would meet with the fullest measure of success. Mr. A. P. Neesham suitably responded. An extended toast list was carried through, interspersed with musical, instrumental and humorous items. A toast that was accorded « deeper reception probably than the others was that given by Mr. G. L. Adams for the recovery of Mr. J. McGlusky, one of the Shore Club's most dashing forwards, who has been laid aside through illness for a considerable time. Mr. Adams expressed the hope of all present that their club-mate would soon bo able to watch their teams in operation, and a resolution was carried embodying these sentiments to be conveyed by the management of the club to Mr. McClusky.
