SNOOKER.
AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. The Auckland provincial amateur snooker championship for the Billiards, Ltd., Cup was commenced last evening at Messrs. Billiards, Ltd., showrooms. The opening games were between M. D. White and J. Proctor, the former winning 70—24 and 72 —40. In the second series, between W. J. Craies and R. James, the former won 48 —31 and 59—33. E. C. Sutton will play J. Molldy this evening, and W. E. Hackett will play It. Davis immediately afterwards.
