SECOND-HAND DEALER FINED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Monday. Three charges of buying articles and failing to make an entry in the book kept "for the purpose were preferred against a second-hand dealer, John Ashe Rentoul, at the Police Court to-day. He pleaded guilty and also admitted three charges of purchasing articles from a 'person under 16 years of age. The police said the discoveries were made in the course of inquiries regarding goods stolen by two boys. Defendant, who expressed regret, was fined 10/ and costs on each charge.
