APPRECIATION.
MR. W. J. JORDAN'S LETTER.
MESSAGE TO ONEHUNGA COUNCIL,
A letter of appreciation from tho High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, Mr. W. J. Jordan, addressed to the Mayor of Onehunga, Mr. J. Park, was read by the deputy-Mayor, Mr. A. A. Coates, at last night's meeting of the borough council. Writing on August 20, Mr. Jordan stated: —"On inv arrival in London I just wish to take this opportunity of expressing to you and the electors of Manukau my very deepest thanks for the farewell which 'was tendered to Mrs. Jordan and myself on July 10 last. We both felt keenly our departure from you all, but look.' forward with pleasure to our reunion. , "We had a'delightful trip, and we are how in the midst of getting settled, at least temporarily. I would appreciate it if you woulft convey to my good friends my kindest - personal regards, in which Mrs. Jordan joins."
