SAVED BY BARKING DOG
NOTED CRICKETER'S HOME. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 12. A barking dog gave the first warning to the Middlesex cricketer, R. W. V. Robins, and his wife, that their home at Burnham was on fire. Mrs. Robins quickly got the children to safety and firemen extinguished the flames. Minor damage was done. The outbreak was due to an electric iron in the maid's room not having- been turned off.
