WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AN9 PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Moderate to fresh northerly winds, backing to westerly and in places to south-westerly. Weather cloudy to overcast, with rain at times. Seas slight to moderate. A depression is crossing the Dominion to-day, but a second is following it across the Tasman Sea. An anti-cyclone covers Eastern Australia. For the Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day the indications are for moderate to strong northerlies, backing to west and in places south-westerly. Weather cloudy to overcast, with rain probable at times. Barometer unsteady, with a rising tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions "in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon today:—Wind, nortli-west, light; sea, smooth; weather, overcast and gloomy; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
