JAPANESE AND AMERICANS. } N.Z. MAY GET BOTH TEAMS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Support for the proposed visit of two Japanese athletes early next year was given by a meeting of the Wellington Centre Qf the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. The centre also decided to cooperate in any endeavour to secure n visit from the American athletes who will probably be touring Australia. A letter from the N.Z.A.A.A. said that it proposed to invite a jumper and a middle distance runner. The total expenses would be about £400. OTAH.UHU CLUB. • i i The report and balance-sheet to be presented at the annual meeting of the Otnhtihu Amateur Athletic Club, to be held In the Swimming Club rooms at Otahuhu on Wednesday evening nqxt, shows the club to be in a particularly sound position. The secretary, Mr. Charlie Porter, will have one or two progressive propositions for discussion.
