LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
AFFAIRS OF REFEREES. ! JUNIOR MEMBER PROMOTED. At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association last evening, Mr. L. E. Bull, presiding, a motion of condolence was passed to Messrs. J. Cottinghaiii and T. Tracy, in the deaths of sister and father, respectively. The Control Board, under date 2nd inst., enclosed copy of a letter from the New Zealand Council confirming its decision to give referees and their wives accommodation on the grandstand at Carlaw Park matches controlled by the New Zealand Rugby Football League. The recommendation of the association executive thanking the Auckland 'League for its assistance in this matter was adopted. Mr. L. G. Binns, of the Appointment Board, announced that Mr. Roy had been promoted to senior referee status. The chairman also congratulated Mr. Otto, and pointed out that several other referees no doubt would receive consideration early next year. Mr. Binns, as representative of the A.R.L. on the Appointments Board, took the opportunity to thank the referees for their wholehearted support to the board during the season. SCHOOLBOY REPRESENTATIVES. INTERMEDIATES V. NGARUAWAHIA. The following boys have been chosen to travel to Ngarunwahin on Saturday next to represent the Auckland primary schools' Intermediate League teams: Corbett, Slaughter, Sheppard (Marist), Johnson, Chapman (Ellerslie), Greaclien. Moyes (Green Lane), Pal, Zanoviteh (Manukau), Lepper, Robertson (Northcote), Noble, Loutlier (Richmond), White (Newton), Neil (Otahuhu), Curroll (Balmoral), McCann (Avondale), Lakey (Mount Albert).
