PATIENT'S CLAIM SUCCEEDS. burned in hospital. (Bv Telegraph.—rress Association.) CHRISTCHURCR, this day. Damages amounting to £100 have been awarded to Mrs. Caroline Thomas who claimed £300 from the North Canterbury Hospital Board. Mrs. Thomas claimed that when she was a patient in. the Christchurch Hospital she was badly burned through a hot water bottle being placed on a thigh while she was unconscious. The board had paid £100- into Court.
