MR. C. E. HANDS' POSITION. BUSINESS MANAGER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. It was announced on Saturday by tffe Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, that although Professor J. Shelley, who will not take up his duties as Director of Broadcasting until December, would be charged with the full direction of the Government's policy in regard to broadcasting, the services of Mr. E. C. Hands, formerly general manager for the Broadcasting Board, and still to all intents and purposes the administrative head of the national broadcasting service, would be retained, and that he would act in the capacity of | business manager of the broadcasting service.
