BANKER, BOWLER, ORPHAN.
Mr. L. 0. Tarbutt, who lias been transferred from tlie National Bank at Auckland to Dunedin and leaves on Wednesday, was presented on the Waitemata bowling green 011 Saturday afternoon with a fountain pen by the members of the club, of which he has been an active member and committee member for several years. The president, Mr. G. B. Chinnery, conveyed the appreciation of his fellow bowlers for Mr. Tarbutt, with whom they sincerely regretted to part, and wished him success for the future. The members of the Birkenhead and Northcote Orphans' C'lub, through the president, Mr. J. W. Letlibridge, presented Mr. Tarbutt with a gold pencil and case.
